Key Regulatory Update

In line with directives issued by MAWANI, logistics service providers are no longer permitted to collect cargo-related security deposits for shipments entering Saudi Arabia.

This regulatory change simplifies import procedures and reduces upfront costs for consignees.

Enhanced Process Implementation in Saudi Arabia

As part of our commitment to efficient and compliant logistics operations, Perfect Link Clearing & Forwarding has implemented a “Zero Deposit” cargo release process for all Saudi-bound shipments.

Key Benefits

  • Eliminates upfront financial requirements for cargo release
  • Accelerates documentation and clearance timelines
  • Fully aligned with Saudi regulatory standards
  • Improves overall cargo flow efficiency

Updated Documentation & Release Process

Step 1: Broker Submission

Authorized customs brokers must submit a Letter of Undertaking (LOU) on official company letterhead to the designated documentation center in Saudi Arabia.

Step 2: LOU Requirements

Requirement Specification
Validity 365 days from issuance date
Authentication Saudi Chamber of Commerce certification
Format Original hard copy submission

Step 3: Cargo Release Authorization

Upon approval of the LOU, cargo release documentation is issued promptly, enabling faster delivery coordination.

⚠️ Important Notes

  • Non-compliant documentation may result in processing delays
  • All LOUs must include a formal liability clause confirming responsibility for equipment handling and applicable charges
